I like it a lot! No saving issues

Very impressed with this. Very powerful for report generation. Just don't let on to others how easy it is to accomplish pretty complex reports. Be sure to download the examples. I didn't need documentation because the samples were so thorough. Great work!!
by gslysz on May 22 at 5:36 PM

Currently using 3.1 to implement a big batch of different reports. Like everyone says, it's a brilliant piece of work and makes your life a lot easier. The users of the reports I'm implementing are already commenting on how much faster they generate over previous reports implemented with Interop.Excel.

Creating a sheet from a datatable or collection and easily setting up a pivot table sheet based on that data makes this library a crown jewel for the enterprise.

saved me a ton of time, worked like a charm, love it! thanks!

This library just saved me so much work. Documentation needs to be a little bit more thorough, but the library itself... oh... I can't thank the developers enough. Had to have this project done by today and I had just a few hours left. Found this, was able to create a workbook with several sheets and thousands of records. Simply brilliant.

Very intuitive to use, especially for those devs who does not want to export data via DataTable but want a precious control of the raw data.

Excellent! The most simple and easy solution for creating excel files

Thank you for this great package ! Sadly, I can't use it for my current project because the support for Tables doesn't meet my needs, but everything else works just fine.

The library works great! Super easy to use for exporting lists of data to Excel 2007/2010 format spreadsheets!

EPPlus is really great, thanks for that !
by abakula on Sep 30, 2013 at 10:53 PM

Works great even when a ton of records (5MB+) are being exported to excel and pushed to user. Unlike ClosedXML there are no Memory streams involved wile writing response to user and therefore no out of memory exceptions. Export to Excel is much cleaner and faster, Thanks Jan Kallman!

Great library when you have simple things to do quickly. For complex operations (like inserting rows keeping style without breaking excel final document), it can be really tricky to know how to make it in a simple way, and the (lack of) documentation doesn't really help...

Great library! Good documentation available to create a very nice and clean excel export! All functionality you could need is included: functions in cells, text formatting, text and cell layout, cells that span multiple rows or columns!

Two words. Frickin' awesome !!

Simple and elegant. Added export button to MVC 4 web app in 30 minutes including ramp up time. EF -> Linq -> ActionController -> Excel in 11 lines of code. Fantastic!

Absolutely top notch library. Exposes almost all Excel functionality without having office installed and is very quick and easy to use.

Light-weight, easy to work with and seemingly comprehensive Excel export. Way to go!
by liorshapira on May 1, 2013 at 10:26 PM

Excellent job, this is a great solution for a very common problem. Successfully deployed on an intranet solution that required the generation of Excel docs in the App server. We got excellent productivity and the performance was good. Thanks very much and really recommend it to anyone.

Finally replaced some Excel Interop COM code with this library. This is so much faster and no Excel.exe processes. Thanks!
by jonathanray on Apr 11, 2013 at 9:47 PM

This project is a blessing for my development! If you have a need for XLSX reporting this is the way to go. I hope it is kept up to date.
by CanManXtra on Apr 1, 2013 at 3:59 PM

Great plugin! I don't want to use MS Interop in my software because some of my clients use Open Office, Libre Office, etc. MS Interop is completely useless when the target PCs don't have MS installed. I had lot of headaches, trying to write my own code to create xlsx file programmatically, until I found this. It's fast. It's trustworthy. It works. It's free. Thank you. I can't thank you enough.
by danielwilianto on Mar 1, 2013 at 1:11 AM

Conditional formatting, print areas, XLSX support, only 600k... best of the bunch. Cheers!
by Dunc_ on Feb 28, 2013 at 2:28 PM

Great Library! Not having to install office or use Interop to create Excel files is nothing short of bloody awesome! :)
by MitchWheat on Feb 13, 2013 at 6:59 AM

I have been trying to manually code what this package entails, so I know is loads of work. Essentially, you do not usually get all the functionality you require. Been coding with it for about <1hr and got my export and functionality right, thusfar no problems and easy to use and code with. Thank you for the hard work, much appreciated.
by caj on Feb 3, 2013 at 8:29 PM

Excellent package worked very well for my application (Converting the output of SQL Report Service from XML to XMLS to bypass 64k barrier). Could use more documentation.
by smorley on Jan 23, 2013 at 7:08 PM

Excellent library! We've worked with file handing for many years using libraries such as Aspose and SpreadsheetGear and I can honestly say this library is up there with the best of them. We had a requirement to do an export from a datatable to Excel 2007 and we had this up and running in < 1hr. My only complaint is that it was hard to find. Where do I donate?
by marklalor on Jan 9, 2013 at 9:12 PM

Great library! Thank you!

Fantastic Excel library, packed with features but still small enough to include in your project...
by netizenk on Dec 17, 2012 at 7:33 PM

Reading old Excel xls files is very tedious at best and not a good use of a programmers' time. I had working code in less than 1 hour after downloading EPPlus, open an xlsx, find a named sheet, use linq to find data, and then update the workbook. Flawless and very fast performance. I will no longer dread working with Excel. (VS 2008, .net 3.5) Thank you for publishing this fantastic library !!

Very easy to use. I was up and running in very little time. Thank you!

Excellent library. I am editing some existing templates and building fairly complex Excel worksheets from scratch including charts, formatting and pivot tables. The documentation, samples and discussion is active and very good. Most of my spreadsheets have thousands of rows, and the performance has been very good. Thanks to the team for your fantastic work!
by CellBent on Sep 27, 2012 at 11:29 AM

Great library, great example. I started working with EPPlus 2 weeks ago and it makes me feel good that you're still working on the project. Keep on the good work!
by Wegginho on Sep 27, 2012 at 7:25 AM

Saving an Excel Package is extremely slow. I would not recommend this if you are it to create a lot of Excel files. Also autosizing columns is another greedy function, I realize there may be no way around since it is O(n^2).

not compatible with wps. a famous spreadsheet software in china.
by huangxianggui on Oct 21, 2012 at 6:03 AM

Given the number of bugs reported on this site I'm not the only one giving one star. Followed the VBA macro example and cannot get it to work in real world. Cant even figure out how to move an existing worksheet or even if it has these simple operations. Very disappointed, waste of time.
