Working with merged cells

Are there any examples of how to list a collection of data down a spreadsheet using a custom template where you would want to show something like invoice data where the middle column is a merged column of 5 columns for example and the right most column is an extended amount? The LoadFromCollection method just puts data in at the starting column you give it but doesn't work correctly with a merged column. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Merging is as simple as selecting the range you want to merge and setting the Merge property to true. Example:
var range = sheet.Cells[1, 2, 1, 5];
range.Merge = true;
where sheet is an ExcelWorksheet.
