Access cell by cell name

Nov 4, 2016 at 3:54 PM
In excel you can change the name of a cell from the default "A1", "A2", "A3", etc to something more meaningful like "Payment" or "Salary".

It looks like you have to reference the cell by the "A1, A2" naming convention. Is there anyway to access by it's other name("payment", "salary") instead?

I can see in the code where the A1 type naming is created but I don't know enough about the open office xml format to understand where the custom names are stored and how to retreive/translate them.

Looks like it's just as simple as
 package.Workbook.Names.FirstOrDefault(x => x.Name == "MyCellName");
